We will cover essential figural elements such as proportion and anatomy, as well as methods of composition and building the emotional narrative of a painting through structure, color and light. The goal of this course is to achieve balance in perception and expression when working from observation, and to create a unique and tactile visual language. Techniques of direct and indirect painting will be covered with the use of various palettes for achieving realistic flesh tones. Model fee included in tuition.
