MARCH COMPASS CLUB MEETING:

PHOTO SAFARI IN KENSINGTON

This month, we’re taking our show on the road. We’ll head over to downtown Kensington, MD to discuss how to take great photos to make paintings from. This is a perfectly timed event to gather images to paint for the Kensington’s Labor Day Art Show that is very popular with our community. Bring your camera (probably your phone) and something to take notes on (possibly also your phone).

This event only open to current Compass Club members. We will meet at the train station on Howard Ave. Parking in and around the area are plentiful. Don’t be late as we will be walking the neighborhood as a group. This meeting will not be recorded on Zoom.

Did you always love art or come to it later in life? Did you want to go to art school? What are you looking to achieve now?

Let’s chat about today’s best figurative painters. Glen will bring up a number of artists he loves and thinks you will too. But you can also share some faves with us as well.

Bonus: We will now start each Compass Club meeting with a brief critique of members’ artwork. The first 3 artists to RSVP below may bring in one painting for review.
