Pat Coates is a northern Virginia native. She studied art at Marymount University and University of Virginia. Later, after several years working with various teachers in water color and acrylic painting, she began working in oil with Glen Kessler in Bethesda and is now completing the Master Artist Program at The Compass Atelier. Pat has a studio and now paints at the Artists & Makers Studios in Rockville.
