The Master Artist Program (“program”) is a three-year art education program designed to take students of any incoming experience level to a professional practice. Students will be asked to participate in weekly class and homework exercises 40 weeks per year. Classes are 4.5 hours per week in-class study and 10 hours out-of-class study is necessary to achieve the program’s goals. Additional hours are always encouraged, but the program’s goals cannot be assured if the minimums stated above are not met.

The program teaches a combination of technical artistic learning, business strategies, and psychological self-examination. The content of classes may at times be challenging physically, mentally, and emotionally. All care will be given to create a positive environment for growth and nurturing.

A calendar of class dates and breaks for the entire 3 years will be listed prior to the program’s start date. During the length of the program, it is recommended that students coordinate their own travel schedules with this class schedule so as to not miss any weeks of the program. Missing a class may require outside instruction at an additional fee. If the calendar needs to be changed for any reason, advanced notice will be given with anyone unable to adjust their travel given a free option for a makeup session.

The fee for Class of 2027 students is anticipated to be $15,000/yr. Tuition may increase no more than 3% year over year. Tuition is billed on a quarterly basis, due one month prior to the beginning of the quarter. Nothing is due at this point, but a deposit will be requested at a later date to officially hold your spot should you be accepted.

Entry into this program is by application only. A pre-program interview is also required and will be set up later in the application process. Prior artistic experience is not a pre-requisite to entry. Artists’ intentions, understanding of the program’s aims, and character are greater factors.

By signing this form you agree, if accepted into the program, to attend regular classes, participate in class activities, fulfill your homework requirements, and be financially accountable for the duration of the program. Only in cases of extreme illness or financial hardship may a student withdraw from the program. Supporting documentation provided as necessary. Student will not willingly enroll in the program with prior knowledge of said conditions.

Signature of this form does not constitute acceptance into the program. Acceptance letters will be sent out in summer 2024.
